Do UniFi cameras require monthly cloud storage fees?
UniFi Protect records locally to your own console or NVR, so the system is not built around monthly cloud video storage fees.
How long can video be retained?
Retention depends on the number of cameras, recording settings, resolution, frame rate, motion settings, and storage size. We size storage around the retention goal.
Can I view cameras remotely from my phone?
Yes. UniFi Protect supports secure remote viewing through the mobile app when the system is configured correctly.
Can you install cameras outside near docks, pools, parking areas, or entrances?
Yes. We plan outdoor camera placement around viewing angles, lighting, weather exposure, cabling, PoE reliability, and the network behind the cameras.
Can existing camera wiring or network equipment be reused?
Sometimes. We can evaluate existing cabling and equipment, then recommend what can stay, what should move, and what needs to be replaced.
