FAQ
Commissioning Questions
Helpful answers before rough-in, cabling, equipment placement, and final commissioning.
When should commissioning be planned?
As early as possible, ideally before rough-in. Commissioning turns the planned infrastructure into a working system. We configure, test, label, document, and hand off the network so it is ready to support. Early planning helps avoid visible compromises, missed cabling, awkward equipment locations, and expensive changes later.
Can you work from plans before the building is finished?
Yes. We can review plans, identify technology requirements, mark up recommended locations, and coordinate with builders, low-voltage contractors, electricians, and owners before final installation.
What should be included in the plan?
The plan should account for final device installation and configuration, wi-fi, camera, and access testing, network segmentation and security review, labeling and documentation. The final scope depends on the property layout, construction phase, and long-term support needs.
Can you commission the system after construction?
Yes. After the cabling and spaces are ready, we can install, configure, test, label, document, and hand off the UniFi system so the planned infrastructure becomes a working network.
Next Step
Send the plans before rough-in.
We will review the layout, identify technology requirements, and help plan the UniFi network before walls, finishes, and equipment choices lock you in.
